Day Care Charges

Charges are set by the Local Authority and are based on household income. Please see the attached charging sheets for more information.

We follow the councils admission policy and offer either 2,3 or 5 day places, part time places need to be consecutive days i.e. Mon-Tue or Thur-Fri. Places for children under 3 years old are all extended day, all year round. Once children move in to Ocean Room (Over 3) then there is the option for a core day place, 9.15-3.15, term time only or extended day places, all year round. There is also the option of AM only or 2.5 day places for those children receiving the 15hr entitlement only.

There are different charges for different age groups. They are implemented as follows:

Under 2s - up until the term after the child's 2nd birthday
2-3s - up until the term after the child's 3rd birthday
3-4s - the term after the child's 3rd birthday

The cut off point for each term is as follows:

31st March
31st August
31st December

These cut off points are also the same for the Free Early Entitlement funding. All children are entitled to 15hrs funded childcare the term after their 3rd birthday, we will automatically deduct these hours and issue you with a new contract. Some working parents are eligible for an additional 15 hours of free childcare for their 3 and 4 year olds. These families will be able to access up to 30 hours of free childcare a week. To check your eligibility please follow the link below.

Please ensure you check your eligibility before the cut off points noted above.  If you are eligible for 30hrs funded childcare, once you receive your code please complete the relevant form which can be collected from reception. If your child does less than 30hrs and you want to increase to 30hrs once you are eligible please ensure you inform the School Business Manager as soon as possible as vacancies get filled extremely quickly.

Fees are paid a week in advance to ensure your account does not go in arrears.  The Local Authority maintain a no arrears policy which we adhere to.  Should you find yourself in financial difficulty then please come and speak to the School Business Manager or Headteacher as soon as possible. Repayment plans can be discussed and arranged on a case by case basis.

We accept Tax Free Childcare payments and all Childcare Vouchers which parents/carers can claim through their employer which enables you to save, on average £1,000 per year through Tax/NI.

If you would like to increase or decrease the days your child attends then please email northislington.eyc@islington.gov.uk
